Your Hosts

Chris and Rhianne arrived in Saint Pons de Thomières in December 2020 as the new guardians of the beautiful Maison de l’Aguze. They left behind their native Britain in search of a more fulfilling way of life, and they have not been disappointed. Since arriving, they have added to the house a private bar/reception, a new guest room, personal touches, and musical instruments. With a shared passion for music (they met at an open mic night in Brixton), the pair have an exciting new project converting the old banker’s office in the house into a residential recording studio – watch this space!

STUDIO AGUZE

Chris and Rhianne are passionate about showcasing the Haut Languedoc region, a hidden gem, to global visitors. In June 2023, as recent debutants to road cycling, Rhianne and Chris cycled (and trained) to Glastonbury festival from the Maison de l’Aguze. For 2024, they are excited to introduce a new Cycle Haut Languedoc holiday, introducing cyclists to the quiet and beautiful routes in the area.

“We are delighted to be following our dream of pursuing a different life here in France. Running a guesthouse is hard work, and the projects never end, but meeting wonderful people from across the world makes it all worthwhile. We are excited about expanding the business to incorporate our passions for music, food, cycling, and nature.”

Guests will also be welcomed by Torvi and Rollo, two miniature poodles who are the real bosses of the house!
